Heidel House Resort & Spa are proud participants in the Travel Green Wisconsin and Green Key Eco-Rating programs. The Green Lake area and Heidel House Resort & Spa are surrounded by natural beauty and wildlife. It is up to us to make sure that these resources are here for years to come. Our goal at Heidel House Resort & Spa is to reduce waste, improve energy efficiency and conserve natural resources. This not only helps the environment and community of Green Lake but also reduces costs, increases efficiency and improves profitability. These are voluntary programs that review, certify, and recognize tourism businesses that have made a commitment to improve their operations in order to reduce their environmental impact. The programs allow tourism businesses to evaluate their operations, set goals and take specific actions towards environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Travel Green Wisconsin is a program for the lodging, recreation, restaurant and other tourism related industries. Hotels complete a self-assessment and checklist and identify their efforts.
